Update: we tried separating Buffy from her sister Taffy, but neither would have any of it! So we realized that they have to be adopted together. Taffy is a toy Yorkie who weighs about 4 pounds. She is about 7 years old but looks and acts like a puppy. She came to us with her sister, Buffy, the Maltese mix. Their owner passed away and neighbors were caring for them. When we got them, they had separation anxiety from their owner, but have since gotten over it. But they do love to be with people. They are bonded and cannot be adopted separately. She was hit by a car, breaking her leg but she is recovering nicely. She is very thin but eating well and is starting to gain a little weight. She is a lovable girl and wants to be with you at all times. She can jump over 5 feet and runs very fast. She is also an escape artist and will run away if you are not cautious. Gizmo is a 7 year old poodle/maltese mix who weighs 13.2 pounds. He currently has demodex which we are treating him for. When his coat fills in, it will be a beige color, the same as the top of his back. He was just an hour from being put to sleep because of his skin and luckily we were there at that time so were able to save him. Demodex is not contagious and is easily treatable. He loves everyone and loves to give kisses. He came in with Carrie who came from the same owner. They are close but not bonded. They can be adopted separately.
